2009-2010
Judges’ clerking was the best graduate job I could have thought of. If you’re a law student, apply for it. Just go for it. It exposed me both to a very wide range of law and to the very best legal reasoning. From day one, I was in the deep end working on challenging, meaningful cases.
When I finished university, the first case I ever worked on was a manslaughter.
- Assisted Judges with legal research, editing judgments, and summarising cases
- Worked on a wide range of civil and criminal issues, including at appellate level
- Worked primarily for Priestley, White, Cooper, and Andrews JJ and Associate Judge Christiansen
