Oxfam blog: The march for climate justice

Thought I’d draw a few comparisons between Yeb Saño’s 1000km Climate Walk and the Oxfam Trailwalker:

Oxfam Trailwalker  is a pretty incredible challenge. You walk 100 km over some of New Zealand’s most stunning countryside, challenge yourself like perhaps never before, and help to support Oxfam’s development work in the Pacific and Southeast Asia.

But right now, Philippines climate commissioner Naderev ‘Yeb’ Saño and a committed group of walkers are finishing a walk that makes Oxfam Trailwalker look like a walk in the park: the 1000km Climate Walk from Manila to Tacloban.

Roll that number around in your head for a moment. Think about what went through your head when you heard the Trailwalker wasn’t a relay. Then multiply that by ten.
